The Future of Business - Not Business as Usual
As we move into a post-Covid world, changes forced by the pandemic are shaping the future of work. We have seen new technologies and platforms emerge requiring novel skills along with them to ensure that business is disrupted as little as possible. One interesting Pew Research Survey result stated that people were all surprised at how quickly they adapted to using new technology. People working from home has become more standard and questions the need for 9-5 full-time business locations. Another Pew Research Survey result found that only 20% of people interviewed worked from home before the pandemic, and now 71% are working from home. However, 54% would like to continue to work from home. Communication and meaningful social interactions around work issues have been curtailed, and teams have had to figure out how best to function remotely.

All of these Covid related changes happened quickly, but they may have happened as a matter of work evolution anyway, just more slowly and with more time to adapt.
